Born in Kozhikode as the son of S. K. Vasu Gurukkal and Visalakshi Amma he began training in Kalaripayattu under his father from early childhood

From childhood itself, he had a deep desire to learn all forms of art. During his school days, he excelled in drawing, sculpture, and acting. He began Kalaripayattu training at the age of five.

Even during his student days, he proved his proficiency in martial arts, sports, and the arts. Graduated in History from Malabar Christian College. He holds a Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management, and a Diploma in Holistic Healing Systems from Colombo University. Second Dan Black Belt in Dynamic Self-Defense from Malaysia. He received training in Ayurvedic massage under the STED Project of the Government of India and obtained MEG SAT certification in Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing. He acquired the Kerala Government’s approved qualification to teach Kalaripayattu in schools and other educational institutions.

He has been a member of the Akhila Kerala Traditional Medicine Federation for the last 35 years. He has been active in the South Indian film industry for over twenty years, working as an art director, stunt director, and actor.

He is the Vice President and Fight Master of SAAMA (Stunt Actors and Masters Association). Recently acted as the hero in the movie Arakkirukkan, and film Awarded as

He is the Vice President of the Yoga Siddha Holistic Healing System at Thirumoola Siddha Peedom, Thiruvananthapuram. He serves as the District Vice President of the Kalaripayattu Association.

Performed kalarippayattu in the foreign countries like Germany, Australia, London, Malassia, Colombia, Thailand, Neppal and in all other Indian states.
